Hair Idea's that I love!

I was told on facebook that I needed an all of the above choice on my hair poll. I have a picture that I think would look like that option. There was a Salon Magazine that came into the office that was dedicated to crazy color. It got me really inspired and I loved all of the fun options so I wanted to share with you the ones I cared for the most.

This would be the all of the above option :)

The scan of this picture doesn't quite do it justice. The green in her hair is phenomenal.

I am partial to this one because to me it looks like a sun!
I like the green in this one too.

Just found this one today.. LOVE IT!

Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Justin Moore

On Friday Feb. 19th I had the opportunity to go to Los Angeles to see Brad Paisley in Concert. AMAZING!! If you like country music and have the chance..his American Saturday Night Tour is so worth it! I went with a friend of mine that I don't get to see that often so that was really fun to experience that with her.

We bought our tickets on ticket master a couple of weeks before and I thought we had a pretty good view for the price (the tickets were only $58 for the lower level off the floor). It was a sideview right next to the stage. I didn't want to drive home at midnight by myself so I talked Jared into just getting a hotel in Los Angeles with me. Then we could go sight seeing the next day. He was happy to do that, so he dropped Carla and I off so we didn't have to pay $30 for parking. Our hotel was like a mile away from the Staples Center so he just hung out and watched tv until we were done. LA is so exciting and so scary all at the same time, the people are so dang rude too but we will get to that. ;) After we got dropped off Carla and I ran to check in. The line wasn't near as long as I thought it was going to be but we didn't want to take any chances of missing anything. After going through security the lady scanned our tickets and said they were declined and that we had to go back outside to the box office. Carla was panicing a little bit about this because we already paid, I assumed that they just wanted to see our Id's. So when we got to the Box office she scanned in our tickets and printed new ones without any problems. As we were walking away Carla asked if these were our tickets so I looked a little closer. They weren't, they were better! A lady ushering the line asked if they upgraded our seats and we grinned as we nodded. I asked her why and she said that sometimes when a section is filled up or they don't have enough people to fill it then they move people around. We just so happened to get moved to CENTER STAGE FLOOR! When we walked in Justin Moore was singing and warming up the crowd. There were at least 13,000 bodies there that night, WOW. That boy could drop it low better than anyone I have ever seen, and he was in tight tight wranglers! It was impressive haha. After he was finished Miranda Lambert sang for about an hour. If you don't have her cd revolution I reccomend it. The song "house that built me" is my new found favorite!  I love country people like her...it makes me feel at home :) When she was done, Brad did an amazing 2 hour performance with almost every great hit he has. His stage was so fun and played videos that matched what his songs had to say. It was incredible, even more so that we were so close. It was a small world experience too because the people in front of us were from Rock Springs, WY!

After the concert the craziness began. We were on the phone with Jared trying to find where he was in the middle of the thousands of people. While we were waiting to cross the street this guy in front of us decided that it would be a good idea to pour an entire bottle of water all over the girl he was with. Well that also meant that it got my entire left side of my body wet too. I was a little upset because I had my iphone in my pocket and he got the side of my new camera wet. He didn't seem to care so I said "excuse me could you please be a little more considerate of the others around you?" and he looked at me and said "Get over it Bitch!" I was so taken back. All I wanted was an apology for getting me wet and possibly ruining my camera. So I got pissed and we started yelling. I said "NO I will not get over it, you got my new $700 camera wet!" and he said " Boo Hoo go buy a new one!" Oh my goodness...I almost punched the man in the middle of downtown LA. While all this was happening Carla was on the phone with Jared as he listened to me almost whoop some butt. Then all of a sudden some girl came up to his window and knocked on it. Jared rolled it down and she looked at him and said "Move this F'in piece of S!@# you A$$%^&; I have to get on the bus!" Jared was shocked because he didn't do anything wrong. After she walked away he got honked at by two different cars who yelled the same thing out the window. They said "Move A$$%^&; Learn how to drive that F&;*(^* Piece of S%^&!" He was so taken back because he was pulled off the side of the road. Well then a cop came up to him and practically yelled "Sir you need to move now!" Jared politely said "Ok I am sorry I just was waiting for my wife to cross the street to pick her up." Cop:" Well I said Move so move now!" so Jared flipped on his blinker and was waiting for traffic to clear so he could safely pull out into the road. Then he hears from the cop again "I SAID MOVE!" we couldn't believe it! At the same time we were both getting yelled at because of the rudness from people in LA. It just instilled in me more than ever that I can't wait to be back in the country where people actually care about their neighbor. Well I hope you enjoyed this long post haha Sorry for the length, it was an exciting night for me! Pictures will be another post :)

Take the Hair Poll!

Hey readers...Its that time again where I am going to change my hair to something crazy. Please take the poll on the top right hand side. I am having a hard time deciding what color to add to my wildness. That does mean that the extentions are coming out this week. It's been fun but I've had them for 6 months now, that is a long time for me to have the same style lol. Stylist at heart! Thanks everyone!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day! Ours was pretty fun! We didn't put a lot into the hype of "Love is in the air...buy chocolates & flowers" thing. We did get a small box though because our sweet tooth just couldn't resist lol. Instead we wanted to do something a little more outdoors. So I took Jared to Cabrillo National Park (That is where I went for the Superbowl!)

Our day started out with some of these.
They are Creme crepes topped with strawberry glaze and fresh raspberries. Yum!

After this Yum-o breakfast we loaded in the car and ended up in Point Loma. I took Jared to the Ft. Rosencrans Cemetery that I previously posted about. I had a very prideful feeling when I went with Kate but it magnified when I went with Jared. We spent more time there than I did before, we took the time to read the plaques and just take in the somber proud feeling we had. I am so grateful for Jared and all of those 50,000 service members that rest there. The sad part...that is only one of several of those types of cemeteries.

We then traveled up the road to Cabrillo National Park. We had gone the day before but we didn't make it there until about 25 minutes before the park closed. So since we came early on Valentines we were able to take the time to see everything. One of the most amazing sights that day was how many sailboats were on the water! There were also two "pirate" ships, it was really cool. We had a blast looking at the lighthouse and wandering around at the tide pool.

After our adventure at Cabrillo we went to dinner at the Brigantine in Point Loma. We had a small meal of Potatoe skins and Mahi Mahi fish taco's. Jared had never had fish tacos before, so I wasnt about to let him leave California without trying one. It was really fun, it was a break from the normal steak and potatoes type of fancy holiday meals.

Best part of our low key day..I got to spend it with the one I love most.

Awesome Photo Comparison.

I Just wanted to post a side by side photo comparison from a camera that was like my old one, to the camera I have now. I have not edited these photos in anyway and they were taken 5 mintues apart holding the same bird. Just had to clear that up lol.
Absolutely incredible!

Pretty Cool eh?!

Super Bowl Sunday

For the last 3 or 4 years the superbowl has been Aweful! It just causes a fight, or something goes wrong. So this year I decided to not give it that option again by watching the game. So Jared left to go to a friends on base and I stayed home with the birds for a bit and then met up with a friend. I used to love to watch the game (that is the only game of the year I could stand), but after all the bad times I didn't think it was worth the frustration. So Kate and I went to Point Loma, Cabrillo National Park, Sunset Cliffs, and out to dinner at Bj's Brewery. It was the best Super Bowl I have had in YEARS!

Downtown San Diego

We ran across this military cemetary..It looks like a mini Arlington. It was very emotional for me. Especially the sight of the flag. (click on it to make it bigger, You can see it a lot better)

The graves ran for miles and over looked the ocean. It was beautiful.

Cabrillo National Park.

Old Glory

The Cabrillo Monument at the top of the hill.

Enjoying my day

 I see Mexico...

The lighthouse on the hill

How amazing is this?!

At Sunset Clifs

If you make the picture bigger you can see a little black spec in the water..Yeah that was a surfer. CRAZY!

The waves were Giant. It's high tide and whale watching week, plus with the storms brewing it has been making fishing bad, and the wave's beasts. They would rush in and pound against the cliffs, then it would mist over us. It was pretty neat. You have to be careful though on these cliffs, they are pretty high and people have been jogging along there when it gave way. They couldn't find them. But it really is the perfect spot for the sunset. Hence the name I suppose :)

Thanks Kate for a great Superbowl Sunday!

My Just Cuz It's Wednesday..

Jared is so good to me... When he came to the office he walked in the back door to surprise me.
When everyone asked what he was doing there he said "It's wednesday" and then held up the flowers. Then he asked if I was in my "Court Cave" and brought them back. I had to share the photo's of them.
(p.s.  I'm loving my fancy camera!)

February

My goodness..it's already February!
Didn't we just start the new year?
We have been so busy that the month of January has just slipped by us.
It's getting really pretty here in Southern California, after all the rain we recieved a couple of weeks ago.
Some hills are turning a beautiful shade of green, others are completely purple (covered with flowers of course!)

As anxious as I am to get away from our situation in life..I will miss the beauty that this place holds. You have to look past the concrete Jungle of it to really see what is there but it's truly there and I have enjoyed it very much over the last 4 years. Look at what I mean..

This little beauty grows between my garage, and Jared's. It smells wonderfully.

I will definately miss the ocean. I love the smell of the breeze and the mist on your face. I love the sand in my toes and sunsets that remind us to be quiet and take it all in.

These cute little purple/pink flowers grow along the hill next to the ocean. There wasn't a single spot that didn't have this foliage.

In a strange sense these tumbled rocks from the ocean are very beautiful. It's amazing how something that was once very jagged and rough such as rocks and glass, can be tossed in the ocean for a while and then come back out perfectly smooth and rounded. One of lifes blessings I guess..it kind of makes you think that your life can be the same as these rocks. You get thrown into tough situations and you are very rough around the edges at first while you are learning to deal. But then once it's all over you have become rounded and a professional at the obstacle that was once very hard. At least I want to think of my situation with the Marines that way. Jared and I have both changed a lot..but we have come out of this as much better people. Things that never meant anything to me..means so much now. I had to be strong and grow up very quickly. But after our meltdown the other day I can come out of it with a much better perspective. We have been so blessed and I am looking at that in a better light.
Remember your blessings and don't take the small things for granted. :)
