The beginning of a New Year

The holidays have come and gone and they both were wonderful! Christmas Eve I worked a half day and then we went to Dana Point to spend some quality family time with our good friend Jamie and her family. We played some games including Guess who you are, whiffle ball in the front yard, and the boys played poker. They do a game called pass around where you pick a gift from a huge pile and then you roll dice and do all sorts of things to get the gifts, it's fun little extra so everyone can have a gift. Talk about loud though lol they love to chant and have a great time. What trash talkers they are too. :) It was really fun and we are happy that she included us in the seasonal events. Christmas day Jared was so excited to spend our first christmas together that he woke me up and 7:30 to go open our gifts. It was nice to spend that time together and see the smile on his face when he opened his presents. after we relaxed for a little bit we got dressed and went to Denny's for breakfast because we didn't have much for food in the house and that was the only place open. The rest of the day we just hung out and played with our gifts. I know that we are so blessed in our lives and I am so thankful for all of the special people in them that we love so much.

New Years we had Jared's dad come to visit. He is our most frequent visitor here in California. we played the wii for a little bit and the boys went to the bar for a drink. We tend to have pretty lazy days with the playstation or wii a lot. It's a good way to stay entertained without a whole lot of money. it gives us time together and make memories. It's been raining a bit here in Oceanside for the past couple of weeks. It's off and on but we definately need the moisture. I can't wait for things to start blooming out again. It's so pretty! I hope that everyone has a happy new year and that it will be a great memorable one for them. I love you readers! have a good day!
