Happy 4 Years.

I am so happy that Jared was able to be out of California for our anniversary. We planned to go to Montana to look for houses, but we couldn't figure out what we wanted to do for our day. The day before we were going to leave Jared talked to his dad and he suggested that we called his aunt to stay in her cabin. Jared's aunt and uncle have a vacation cabin in Island Park, ID, and we have to drive through there to get to Bozeman anyway, so it worked out perfectly. Craig had even already asked her if we could stay. The timing was perfect because they were already there on their last day of vacation so they left the water on for us. We went into Idaho Falls first and had dinner with Kaylee and Phil at the Texas Roadhouse. As always it was great hanging out with them and having our husband's meet. Hopefully we can have more times like that girly :) Later we went to walmart to get some food for our stay in the cabin and met up with another great friend that we haven't seen in years. It was so wonderful to see you Chelsea, I'm sorry that we missed your wedding!

We didn't get to Island Park until after midnight and if you ever have been up there you know that there isn't much around! We followed the directions to a T but we still could not find this cabin for the life of us. None of the house numbers were in order, and since it's a million trees with hundred's of hidden cabins, it was quite a challenge. After almost 2 hours of looking we found the place. I didn't imagine it to be so big! The next morning we slept in and make pancakes. Normally for our anniversary we do something fun and active, so it was really nice to just sit in the middle of nowhere and not do anything! We snuggled and watched a couple of movies while it rained. Later we ventured out into the 24 mile long town in search of something to eat. It's very separated but we managed to find a place called the Trout Hunter and had us some bison and chicken sandwhiches. It was a great way to relax and spend some time with each other before jumping into the stress of house and job hunting as soon as we got into Montana. Love you Jared Jackson, Happy 4 Years!

He was even flipping them lol
Nice breakfast at noon ;)

After dinner

We made yummies!

I added this one because I loved this bathroom! The floor were heated even!
They had a cute little gazebo with wooden rockers. It if wasn't raining so much I would have loved to spend time out here. It was so peaceful! Thanks again Sandra for letting us stay there. It was amazing!

Highlights

Lately I have been trying my hand at highlighting hair. Since I am heading back into school soon, I have been doing a lot of things to get prepared mentally. I want to be more confident going into school so what better way than practice. :) Thanks Kaylee for starting the string of highlights I have done. I want to share some before and afters with you readers..let me know what you think :)

I must say..I think I did a good job. I'm very proud.

Fishing Fishing and more Fishing

My dad is such a hard core fisherman! He has gone a lot since I have been home, which has been so fun. A few years ago we bought him a lifetime fish license for his birthday. He fully takes advantage of that ;) As soon as the ice melted off of Fremont lake he wanted to go. Jared, his little brother Will, myself, and my dad took the trip in hopes to catch a 20-30 pound trout. The lake was nice when we got there but a storm slowly moved in and the fish hightailed it to over 100 feet deep. We got out just in time but we didn't get any bites. The pictures of the ride back to the dock were pretty funny though.

Dad's mad fish skills the day before we went to Fremont.

Maddie loves fishing. It was driving her crazy that we weren't getting a bite.

It was so cold going back to the dock. I turned around and this is what I saw hahaha

Burr!

The boys fell asleep on the way back, it didn't look comfortable to me!

That's how country boys roll..

The first chance Jared got he was out on the lake tearing up the mud. When he bought his truck it had never ever been out of California so it was pampered. Being the redneck as he is, mudding was high on his list of "to-do's" as soon as he came home. The damage was pretty funny. He had the time of his life!

Star Valley Violence?

There is a few kids who started a band in Star Valley who put on a concert a few weeks ago.  My brother in law's friend is a memer of the band so he went in support. Holy mosh pit! haha  Some kid got rowdy on the first song and was going around punching people. Everyone was jumping around and Will got knocked off balance and fell. When he was about to get up that kid elbowed him in the face and it shattered his glasses. He had to wait until the show finished to find the pieces. He walked away with a GIANT Shiner! It was pretty funny and what a life memory. The only bad part...we had family pictures coming up less than a week later. His mother was not so happy :) Here are some pictures of his eye.
The night it happened...
The next day! AWESOME!

Official Welcome Home

A couple of days after Jared was home we decided that we needed to go celebrate his return. When Jared left for the Marine Corps it was on his mother's birthday so we had a rushed dinner at Melina's. That restaurant is no longer, but he thought it would be fun to go to Mexican again. Since he went in the military that way, he may as well come out that way too. :) Agave was the choice and it happens to be in the same building that the old restaurant was in. Here are some pictures from our celebration dinner.
