Jared has had an extremely exciting and good couple of months. Between traveling, things looking up because of the congress letter, Luke coming home, and his birthday. To put the cherry on top of the sundae, while we were in vegas he found out that he was elible for promotion.
Jared has been missed for promotion for the last 3 years because of his "cutting score" to pick up rank. The MOS *job discription* that he is in has a huge cutting score and they dont do promotions very often. Needless to say we have been very bitter. When he found out I litterally thought it was going to wet himself because he was so excited. The only downfall is that it came right before he gets out of the military, but the fact that he leaves a non-commisioned officer is incredible. Plus it just sounds better! ;) So yesterday, I left work early and drove to Camp Pendleton to witness his pinning ceremony. I was so proud of him! Luke, Jared, and Gavin before the ceremony

Yeah that is so exciting! That sucks it happened right before he is getting out but at least it happened! :)
